Tesla´s pedigree

Tesla is our family's first cat. We bought her from Lena Schyberg in 1997 and she became our introduction into the world of cat fancy. Tesla was bought as Eva's cat since Johan prefers another colour, but since cats have a will of their own she made her choice to be Johan. It is only Johan's arm that is good enough to be carried on.

Tesla is the matriarch of the house and rules over the entire cat family. She rules with a relatively soft method by just staring down her opponents and if that's not enough she knows how to use her claws.

Her career as our breeding queen is almost over and we only plan to have one more litter with her before her retirement. Tesla has always been a very nice and gentle mother without being a hen mother, she can easily leave the newborn litter already after a couple of hours to have some time for her self, eating etc. She only returns, but then in a haste, when any of the kittens begins to cry.

Tesla has been shown at cat shows in between her litters,

in some cases with real success. On the judges table she has almost always been praised for her beautiful large and round copper coloured eyes, unfortunately they have turned one shade paler for every litter and is now more yellow than copper. She has a short and very dense coat of a "medium" blue colour. She has also almost always been certain to let the judge know how she feels about the entire spectacle.

It is apparent that Tesla hasn't read any books about cats and brits in special. She likes all sorts of sweets and especially marshmallows and she finds it quite OK to be high above the ground on cupboards or in

bookshelves. In other ways she's the typical British shorthair in that she's very involved in everything that happens in the household, except for vacuuming, although often from a certain distance. One side of this is the irritating fact that reading a newspaper without having a cat laying flat across it can be difficult.
